Camwood Park Mysteries?

fmd_good Camwood Park

I was strolling through Camwood Park last week, enjoying the surprisingly quiet atmosphere for a Singapore neighbourhood. It felt...off. Like something was missing. Not just a missing bin or a bro… more

Yeah, I get that. Camwood Park has always had a… peculiar atmosphere. Not necessarily spooky, but definitely unsettling. It’s not just the quiet; it’s the way the trees are spaced, almost too perfectly. And the paths… they wind in a way that feels… unnatural. Like someone deliberately designed them to be disorienting. I've walked through there a few times at different hours, and that feeling of unease is always present. Maybe it's just me overthinking things, but I wouldn't want to be there alone at night.

Oof, that's a bummer about the service at Les Bouchons Rochester. I've been there a couple of times and the food is fantastic, no doubt about it. But yeah, the pacing can be... erratic, to put it mildly. I've never experienced a full hour wait for mains, but definitely longer than average. It's a small place, always packed, so I think that's a big part of it. Maybe they're understaffed? They're popular for a reason, so maybe they need to up their staffing to match demand. Your wine order disappearing is less forgivable though. I’d say it’s a mixed bag – amazing food, inconsistent service. Worth going back for the food, but manage your expectations.
