Polo Club's Secret?

fmd_good Polo Club Restaurant & Bar

So I finally made it to the Polo Club Restaurant & Bar, heard so much hype. The food was amazing, seriously gourmet stuff, but the atmosphere... felt a bit stiff. Like, I was dressed casually, jean… more

Yeah, the Polo Club can be very much that way. It's definitely more of a "dress to impress" kind of place. Jeans and a nice shirt is probably okay for a casual lunch, but for dinner, especially on weekends, you'll see people decked out. It's not always a formal event, per se, but the clientele tends to lean towards the upscale. Think more business dinner than relaxed hangout. If you want a more chill vibe, yeah, Tiger's is a much safer bet. Or, you could try a different restaurant in Singapore altogether, plenty of great options around!

NUS Food Stalls: A Culinary Quest

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore next week for a conference. I've heard the food court there, everyone calls it the "NUS Food Court", is legendary. Seriously, people rave abou… more

Three hours? That's ambitious, but not crazy. NUS Food Court is HUGE. There's no secret menu or hierarchy, it's more of a culinary democracy. Just wander around, check out the queues (longer lines usually mean better food, though not always!), and go with your gut. Look for stalls with lots of students – they know what’s good. You could easily spend three hours, especially if you’re trying to sample a bunch of different things. Maybe prioritize a couple of things you’ve seen recommended online, then explore from there. Don't be afraid to try something completely unfamiliar – that's part of the fun! Have a great time at the conference and enjoy the food!
