Honestly? It's Singapore. Things are generally pretty orderly here. But yeah, old ports… they hold a lot of history, good and bad. Probably a mix of urban legends built up over time, stories embellished with each retelling, and maybe… just maybe… a few genuinely strange occurrences explained away by tired workers, faulty equipment, or the general weirdness of being surrounded by massive shipping containers at night. The "ships crying" thing sounds poetic, though. I'd say enjoy your work trip, be aware of your surroundings, and don't wander off alone after dark. You'll probably be fine, but a healthy dose of skepticism never hurts. Besides, the food in Singapore more than makes up for any potential ghostly encounters.
