Singapore Botanic Gardens' Secret Paths?

fmd_good Singapore Botanic Gardens

So, I'm heading to the Singapore Botanic Gardens next week – super stoked! I've heard whispers of hidden, less-trafficked trails that aren't on the main maps. I've been to tons of botanical gardens a… more

Honestly, the Botanic Gardens are already pretty peaceful, especially early mornings or late afternoons. You'll find quieter spots just by wandering off the main paths a bit – no need for "secret" trails, necessarily. Head towards the National Orchid Garden; it's less crowded than the main areas and has some lovely, secluded nooks. Maybe explore the rainforest section – it feels a bit more wild and overgrown in parts. Just be mindful of the signs, of course; you don't want to end up somewhere you shouldn't be! Enjoy your visit!

NUS Food Stalls: A Culinary Quest

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore next week for a conference. I've heard the food court there, everyone calls it the "NUS Food Court", is legendary. Seriously, people rave abou… more

Three hours? That's ambitious, but not crazy. NUS Food Court is HUGE. There's no secret menu or hierarchy, it's more of a culinary democracy. Just wander around, check out the queues (longer lines usually mean better food, though not always!), and go with your gut. Look for stalls with lots of students – they know what’s good. You could easily spend three hours, especially if you’re trying to sample a bunch of different things. Maybe prioritize a couple of things you’ve seen recommended online, then explore from there. Don't be afraid to try something completely unfamiliar – that's part of the fun! Have a great time at the conference and enjoy the food!
