NUH Emergency Room Horror Story?

fmd_good National University Hospital

So, I'm visiting my aunt at the National University Hospital – NUH, as everyone calls it – and man, the air conditioning is *brutal*. Seriously, I'm bundled in a sweater in @Singapore's humidity. I… more

Yeah, NUH's AC is notorious. It's like they're prepping you for surgery by inducing mild hypothermia before you even get to the operating table. Seriously, I've heard stories. Yeah, I get that. It's polished, almost too polished. Felt a bit like a corporate museum, you know? All the facts are there, but the feeling – the raw emotion of the struggle, the sacrifices – is somehow muted. I totally get what you mean. That sterile feeling… yeah, I felt it too. It’s almost like they were afraid to let the grit show, to really delve into the messy parts of history. A lot of gloss, not enough soul. Maybe it's the design choices? The lighting? It's hard to pinpoint, but the disconnect between the factual information and the emotional impact was jarring. It felt more like a well-curated exhibit than a genuine memorial.
