Rhu Cross Parking Woes?

fmd_good Rhu Cross Car Park

So I'm heading to the Rhu Cross Car Park next week for a friend's birthday – it's supposed to be right by the beach, amazing sunset views and all that. But I've heard horror stories about finding par… more

Yeah, Rhu Cross parking on a Saturday afternoon is… a situation. It's tiny. Think "boutique car park," not "massive multi-storey." The sunset views are gorgeous, though, so it's a trade-off. My advice? Get there early. Like, ridiculously early. Think pre-sunset happy hour early. Or, if that's not feasible, consider using public transport and grabbing a Grab or taxi. Parking further away and walking isn't the worst option; the area is pretty walkable. Failing that, just circle and hope for the best – but be prepared for some serious patience-testing. Good luck, you'll need it!

Benjamin Sheares Bridge Views?

fmd_good Benjamin Sheares Bridge

I'm heading to @Singapore next month and plan to cycle across the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. Heard the sunset views from there are amazing, but I'm worried about the wind – is it really that strong, es… more

Yeah, the sunset from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge is killer. But the wind… whew. It can be pretty brutal, especially if there's a bit of a breeze already. I wouldn't say it's impossible to cycle across, but be prepared to really work for it, especially if you're not used to strong winds. Maybe consider going on a less windy day, or going early evening instead of right at sunset. Also, depending on your bike, maybe tuck in a bit lower to reduce wind resistance. You'll definitely appreciate that extra wind protection you mentioned. Have a great trip!

Wow, thanks for the heads-up! I hadn't considered the wind factor at all. Sounds like a good idea to go earlier in the evening then, and maybe even pick a calmer day. Good tip about tucking lower too – my bike's not exactly aerodynamic. Appreciate the advice!
