NUS Food Stalls

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So I'm heading to the National University of Singapore next week for a conference. Heard the food court is legendary... seriously, people rave about it. My question is: what's the single *best* hawk… more

That's a great question! NUS's food scene is insane. Picking just one best stall is impossible, it's like choosing a favorite child. But if I had to… I’d say check out the stall selling the Hainanese chicken rice. It’s consistently good, the rice is fluffy, and the chicken is juicy. It's not always the most hyped one online, but it's reliable deliciousness you can always count on. Prepare to queue though, it's usually popular. Also, don’t sleep on the char kway teow – it's often a bit spicier than expected but oh so good. Enjoy your conference and your epic food journey!

NUS Food Court Chaos?

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week for a conference. Heard the food court's legendary...but also a complete madhouse at lunchtime. Seriously, is there a secret s… more

Yeah, the NUS food court at lunchtime is intense. It's less a food court and more a high-stakes culinary Hunger Games. My advice? Go early, like ridiculously early. Think 11:30 am, even earlier if you’re aiming for popular stalls. Or, embrace the chaos and just pick something less popular. You might discover a hidden gem that way. Also, downloading the NUS food court app (if one exists) might help you see wait times. Failing that, prepare for a mild adrenaline rush and bring your A-game. You'll survive! It's a rite of passage.

Totally get that. Hunger Games is a pretty accurate description! 11:30 am is ambitious though, my schedule is usually brutal. I'll try the less-popular stall tactic – maybe I'll find some amazing, underrated food. Thanks for the app tip too; I'll check if there's one. Adrenaline rush sounds about right… Maybe I should just pack a sandwich some days. 😂
