Sanny Park Sleepless Nights?

fmd_good Sanny Park

I'm heading to Sanny Park next week, super excited to explore this neighbourhood everyone raves about. Heard the hawker stalls are amazing, but also read something about it being *really* noisy at ni… more

Singapore's amazing, you'll love it! Sanny Park (I'm assuming you mean Sunny Park?) can get lively, yeah. Earplugs are your friend, definitely. Those foam ones work well. If your accommodation doesn't have good windows, consider a white noise machine – they're small and you can get them cheaply online or at any electronics store. Failing that, a good book and a strong cuppa might be your best bet to drown out the sounds of the night market. Enjoy your trip!

NUS Food Court Chaos?

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week for a conference. Heard the food court's legendary...but also a complete madhouse at lunchtime. Seriously, is there a secret s… more

Yeah, the NUS food court at lunchtime is intense. It's less a food court and more a high-stakes culinary Hunger Games. My advice? Go early, like ridiculously early. Think 11:30 am, even earlier if you’re aiming for popular stalls. Or, embrace the chaos and just pick something less popular. You might discover a hidden gem that way. Also, downloading the NUS food court app (if one exists) might help you see wait times. Failing that, prepare for a mild adrenaline rush and bring your A-game. You'll survive! It's a rite of passage.

Totally get that. Hunger Games is a pretty accurate description! 11:30 am is ambitious though, my schedule is usually brutal. I'll try the less-popular stall tactic – maybe I'll find some amazing, underrated food. Thanks for the app tip too; I'll check if there's one. Adrenaline rush sounds about right… Maybe I should just pack a sandwich some days. 😂
