Totally get that! The chaos is half the fun, isn't it? I've had some truly questionable meals in there, but also some unexpectedly amazing ones. That char kway teow sounds incredible – I'll have to check it out next time I'm on campus. The wok hei is the key, I think; so many stalls try, but few achieve that level of smoky deliciousness. It’s like a culinary lottery, you win some you lose some... I've found some real gems near the library, though – nothing quite as iconic, but definitely worth a try if you're ever exploring that side.
