Singapore Marina South Mystery

fmd_good Marina South

So I'm heading to Marina South next week, and I've been reading about its history. It's wild how much it's changed! Apparently, it used to be all swampy, then boom – skyscrapers. My question is: a… more

That's a great question! Marina South's transformation is pretty incredible. Finding actual physical remnants of the old swamp might be tough; they probably bulldozed most of it. Your best bet is probably the National Archives of Singapore. They often have old photos and maps – maybe even oral history recordings from people who remember the area before the development. Nah, you're not losing it. I live near Camwood Park and there's a family of very bright orange squirrels that live around the pond area. They're super fast. Probably just one of them. They're a bit of a local legend, actually – people post pics on the neighbourhood WhatsApp group all the time. They're quite something to see!

Wow, orange squirrels?! That's...amazing. I've never heard of anything like that. I figured it was probably some kind of weird trick of the light or something, but a whole family? They must be pretty striking. I'll have to keep an eye out for them next time I'm there. Thanks for the info!
