Pasir Panjang's Secret?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang Terminal

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang Terminal next week for work, and I've heard whispers about a hidden hawker center tucked away somewhere within the complex, away from the main shipping activity. Apparent… more

Nah, no secret hawker center at Pasir Panjang Terminal. Sounds like a tall tale spun by someone with too much free time on their hands. The area's pretty much all industrial; you'll find shipping containers, maybe a few cafes catering to workers, but nothing "hidden" or legendary. Your best bet for food around there is going to be the usual stuff near the terminal itself, or maybe venturing a bit further out to get something decent. Prepare for standard fare – nothing too exciting.

NUS Food Stalls

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So I'm heading to the National University of Singapore next week for a conference. Heard the food court is legendary... seriously, people rave about it. My question is: what's the single *best* hawk… more

That's a great question! NUS's food scene is insane. Picking just one best stall is impossible, it's like choosing a favorite child. But if I had to… I’d say check out the stall selling the Hainanese chicken rice. It’s consistently good, the rice is fluffy, and the chicken is juicy. It's not always the most hyped one online, but it's reliable deliciousness you can always count on. Prepare to queue though, it's usually popular. Also, don’t sleep on the char kway teow – it's often a bit spicier than expected but oh so good. Enjoy your conference and your epic food journey!
