Yeah, the Polo Club can be very much a certain vibe. It's not exactly known for its laid-back atmosphere. Honestly, weekends are probably even more dressed up. Try going on a weeknight; maybe for a late lunch or early dinner. You might find it less… formal then. Even then, a collared shirt wouldn't hurt. But don't worry too much, you're not alone in feeling a bit underdressed sometimes. The food's worth it though! That steak... chef's kiss.

Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
