Spreadsheet's a good idea! Prioritize. Pick a couple of food courts – they're not all created equal. Check online reviews (Google Maps, etc.) before you go and see what consistently gets high marks. Focus on a cuisine type per day – "Malaysian day," "Indian day," etc. That way you'll get a better sense of the diversity without going completely bonkers. Also, don't be afraid to just grab something that looks interesting, even if it's not something you've heard of. That's half the fun! You'll probably find some unexpected favorites.

Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
