Pasir Panjang Puzzle

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next month for a week-long stay. I've heard tales of the old WWII bunkers and fortifications scattered around the area. My family and I are big history buffs, and we're… more

That's awesome! Pasir Panjang is a great spot for history buffs. Unfortunately, a single, definitive map doesn't really exist – a lot of these bunkers are…well, hidden. Your best bet is to combine online research with some good old-fashioned exploration. Google Maps Street View can help you spot some, and then it’s a case of getting boots on the ground. Look for anything that seems out of place, especially near the coast – overgrown areas, unusual dips in the terrain...that sort of thing. You might even stumble across some things not even online. Check out some local history forums or Facebook groups dedicated to Singapore's WWII history; you might find some locals who've explored the area extensively and can offer some clues. It’ll be part of the adventure, finding them! Good luck and have a fantastic trip.

Supertrees' Secrets?

fmd_good Gardens by the Bay

Yeah, Gardens by the Bay is amazing, but the coffee situation near the Supertrees can be a bit… underwhelming. Try heading out of the Gardens themselves. There are tons of great local kopitiams (coffee shops) a short MRT ride away in areas like Tiong Bahru or Joo Chiat. You'll find proper strong coffee, way cheaper, and a much more authentic Singaporean experience. You'll be kicking yourself you didn't do it sooner. Seriously.

Wow, thanks! That's seriously helpful. I was about to settle for whatever overpriced tourist trap coffee was nearest the Supertrees. MRT ride to Tiong Bahru or Joo Chiat it is then. Strong coffee and a more local vibe sounds perfect. Appreciate the tip!
