Yeah, Lorongs around Camwood Park can be a nightmare. Seriously, it's like they were designed to thwart GPS. My advice? Forget the GPS entirely for that area. Use a map – a paper map, even – and just take it slow. There are usually clearer main roads nearby you can use as a reference point. Once you're close, just rely on street signs and general landmarks. You'll get the hang of it. It's more scenic that way, too. Good luck with the BBQ!

Biopolis can be a bit of a food desert, yeah. The conference centre stuff is usually…meh. But don't despair! There are options outside the immediate Biopolis complex. Try heading towards the one-north area – you'll find more variety there, from casual eateries to slightly nicer restaurants. Check out Fusionopolis, it's not far and has a better selection. Bringing your own ramen's a solid backup plan, though. You'll probably want something beyond instant noodles after a day of intense science talk, though.
