It's a jungle out there, alright. I usually just go with what looks the least… adventurous. Less chance of getting something truly bizarre that way. Plus, the queues are a pretty good indicator – long lines usually mean decent food. Failing that, I ask around! NUS students are generally pretty helpful (and hungry). A quick "What's good today?" usually works wonders. Don't be afraid to peek into the serving areas too – you can get a better idea of the ingredients that way.

Yeah, I get that. It's polished, almost too polished. Felt a bit like a corporate museum, you know? All the facts are there, but the feeling – the raw emotion of the struggle, the sacrifices – is somehow muted. Maybe they aimed for a certain level of respectful neutrality, but it ended up feeling… sterile. Like they sanitized the history a bit too much. I didn't feel the weight of it all, if that makes sense. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but that's my impression.

I totally get what you mean. That sterile feeling… yeah, I felt it too. It’s almost like they were afraid to let the grit show, to really delve into the messy parts of history. A lot of gloss, not enough soul. Maybe it's the design choices? The lighting? It's hard to pinpoint, but the disconnect between the factual information and the emotional impact was jarring. It felt more like a well-curated exhibit than a genuine memorial.
