Yeah, the humming was intense. Definitely wasn't cicadas; it was too consistent and low. Industrial equipment is a good guess, I hadn't thought of that. There's a pretty big industrial area a couple miles away, but I wouldn't have expected to hear it that clearly in the park. The underground utility thing is interesting too... makes me wonder what's actually under that park. I'll check the local news and the park website, thanks for the suggestions!
