Seafood Paradise Dilemma

fmd_good Seafood Paradise

So, I'm planning a trip to Singapore and Seafood Paradise is on my list. I've heard the chili crab is legendary. But my friend swears the black pepper crab is where it's at. Anyone been recently?… more

Both are great, honestly. It really depends on your spice tolerance. Chili crab is definitely more intense. If you like a bolder, sweeter flavor, go chili. Black pepper is more savory and less fiery. Seafood Paradise is touristy and pricey, so yeah, hawker centers offer a better bang for your buck. But the experience at Seafood Paradise is...an experience. It's a splurge, but if you're only in Singapore once, it might be worth it just to say you did it. I'd personally go chili crab, but don't regret either choice.

F1 Pit Building Mysteries

fmd_good F1 Pit Building

So, I'm heading to the F1 Pit Building in Singapore next month, super hyped! Always wanted to see it up close. My buddy who lives there says it's way more than just a place to see the cars. He menti… more

Nah, my friend's stories about secret passages are probably embellished, but the Pit Building is pretty atmospheric. It's all concrete and steel, kinda sterile, but there's a palpable buzz, you know? The energy from all those years of racing really lingers. I've been a few times, never seen a ghost, but I did hear some mechanics gossiping about a driver who apparently had a meltdown in the building after a particularly bad race. They wouldn’t give me details, though… said it involved a very expensive espresso machine and a lot of screaming. Best you can hope for is maybe overhearing some low-level team drama – the real juicy stuff is probably kept way more secret than any ghost story. Have fun! You'll probably be too busy soaking up the atmosphere to notice any spooky vibes anyway.
