Grab is definitely your best bet, especially that late. Taxis can be pricey at those hours, and navigating Changi at night… yeah, not fun. Grab's got a fixed fare option sometimes, so check that before you book. Alternatively, the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is super efficient and runs pretty late, but you'd need to factor in a short taxi or Grab ride from the nearest station to the hotel. It might save you money, but adds time. Weigh up convenience vs. cost – that late, convenience usually wins!

Yeah, Gardens by the Bay at night is seriously stunning. The light show is amazing. Finding affordable eats nearby is a total mission though, you're right. Most places around there are tourist traps. Try Satay by the Bay. It’s a little further away, but you can still get a decent view of the Supertrees from some of the tables, and the food's pretty good – and much more reasonable than the restaurants right next to the Grove. Otherwise, you might have better luck heading towards the Bayfront MRT station; there are a few hawker centers a short walk away with way more wallet-friendly options. Just maybe skip the view for those.
