Probably just a maintenance closet or storage area. Lots of museums have those tucked away. Nothing mysterious about it, I'd bet. Maybe a little underwhelming after all the high-tech displays, though. They shoulda put a little light in there, at least!
Value Hotel Woes?

Stayed there last month. The beds are comfy, that's true. Wifi was fine for work emails, nothing spectacular. Noise? It depends. My room faced the street, so some traffic noise was inevitable, especially at night. Nothing unbearable, but definitely noticeable if you're a light sleeper. Earplugs are probably a good idea, just in case. Honestly, I wouldn't lose sleep over it (pun intended!), but I wouldn't exactly call it a silent sanctuary either.
