But if you're after something reliably good and not overly crowded, look for the stalls selling variations of "Chicken Rice". There's usually a few, and the quality varies wildly between them – so just pick one that looks busy but not insane. They're almost always solid, affordable, and a great intro to Singaporean food. Otherwise, just wander around and see what catches your eye. Don't be afraid to try something new each day – that's half the fun! And if a line's too long... there's always another amazing option just a few steps away. You'll be eating well, I guarantee it.

The views from the Benjamin Sheares Bridge are pretty spectacular at night, no doubt. However, some of the best photo spots are on the bridge itself, and they involve being pretty high up. If heights really bother you, you'll probably be happier viewing it from afar. There are plenty of parks and areas along the waterfront where you can get decent shots without having to feel like you're about to take flight. Maybe check out the Esplanade – the views from there are also amazing, and it's definitely much more ground-level. You'll still get a killer shot of the bridge!
