Pasir Panjang Puzzle

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a friend's wedding – it's at a pretty swanky hotel near the coast, apparently. Heard stories about the old WWII history there... but honestly, the wedding'… more

Oof, wedding banquet dread is REAL. But don't worry, late-night char kway teow salvation is possible! Pasir Panjang isn't exactly overflowing with late-night hawker options close to the coast, unfortunately. Your best bet might be to head slightly further afield – maybe towards Tiong Bahru? There are some pretty solid hawker centres there with longer opening hours, and you can easily grab a taxi or Grab after the wedding. It's a bit of a journey, but trust me, good char kway teow is worth it. Good luck with the wedding – and the char kway teow hunt!

Sanny Park's Secret?

Honestly, forget trying to find the one single best stall – that's impossible. Sanny Park's food scene is all about exploring! But if you're craving something truly authentic and off the beaten path, hunt down the "Ah Lian's Laksa". It's tucked away, almost hidden, but the queue is usually a dead giveaway. It's not fancy, just incredible laksa made by this woman, Ah Lian, who's been there for ages. The broth is intensely flavorful, and she uses this amazing homemade sambal – seriously addictive. You won't regret it. Get there early though, she sells out fast.
