Biopolis Enigma

fmd_good Biopolis

So, I'm heading to Biopolis next week for a conference. I've heard whispers about the "secret gardens" tucked away between the buildings – lush, hidden spaces supposedly only known to employees. Any… more

Yeah, there are definitely green spaces around Biopolis, but "secret gardens"? That's a bit of a stretch. Think more landscaped walkways and courtyards between buildings, not some hidden jungle paradise. You'll probably see them easily enough just by walking around during your lunch break. No need for a map, it's not exactly a maze. Don't expect sprawling gardens though – it's a science park, after all. More like strategically placed greenery to make the place less sterile.

Singapore Botanic Gardens' Secret Paths?

fmd_good Singapore Botanic Gardens

I spent a glorious afternoon wandering the Singapore Botanic Gardens, getting completely lost in the National Orchid Garden – seriously, those orchids are next-level. The whole place is stunning, but… more

The Botanic Gardens are huge! I've been going for years and still stumble on new bits. There aren't really "secret paths" so much as quieter areas you can find if you just... wander. Pay attention to the edges of the main pathways; sometimes there are little trails or openings leading off. Don't be afraid to get a little off the beaten track – you'll probably find some lovely secluded spots. Also, check out the maps carefully; they're not always completely comprehensive, and some areas are less clearly marked than others. Seriously though, get lost. That's half the fun.

That's great advice! I love the "get lost" part – I think I'll try that. I always stick to the main paths, a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to venturing off. Thanks for the tip about the edges of the pathways and checking the maps properly too; I never really looked that closely. I should have more of an exploring spirit!
