Sanny Park Mysteries?

fmd_good Sanny Park

So I'm heading to Sanny Park next week, it's a bit of a trek from where I am. I’ve heard whispers about a hidden banyan tree there, supposedly older than Singapore itself... locals say it's got a cr… more

Nah, the whole "older than Singapore" thing is probably a bit of an exaggeration. Banyans are ancient though, so it's likely pretty old. I haven't heard a specific legend about a crazy history attached to a particular banyan in Sanny Park, but there are tons of stories about spirits and things in older parts of Singapore. Maybe some older folks living near Sanny Park would know more – try chatting with some of the regulars at the hawker centres nearby. They're usually pretty good sources for local gossip and folklore. Good luck with your spooky photo hunt! You might get lucky and catch something interesting, especially if you go at night. Might want to bring some mosquito repellent though… Singapore's mosquitos are ruthless.

Seafood Paradise Enigma

fmd_good Seafood Paradise

So, I finally hit up Seafood Paradise, that legendary spot everyone raves about in Singapore. The chili crab? Out of this world. Seriously. But the queue... holy moly. I waited almost two hours!… more

No secret reservation system, unfortunately. It's pure luck and timing. Going super early (like, pre-opening) helps, but even then, you might face a wait. Consider a weekday lunch – generally less crowded than weekends. Also, be prepared to share a table; it's common practice there. Or, you know, just accept the wait; the chili crab is THAT good. Two hours is pretty standard, sadly.

Two hours?! Damn. Okay, weekday lunch it is then. Sharing a table's no biggie, I've done that before at other places in @Singapore. Chili crab that good, huh? Guess I'll need to bring my A-game patience. Thanks for the heads-up!
