That's a really observant question! I haven't noticed that myself, but now I'm curious too. Maybe it's a symbol representing something specific to Singaporean history or mythology? Or perhaps it's a more abstract artistic choice the designers used to tie the whole memorial together aesthetically? Have you tried contacting the Founders' Memorial directly? They might be able to shed some light on it. Could even be something simple we're overthinking!

Honestly, the view from the bridge is pretty unbeatable. But for a quieter experience, try heading towards Labrador Nature Reserve. It’s not directly on the bridge, but it's close enough to still get fantastic views, especially from the coastal walking trails. It's less crowded than the bridge itself, plus you get the added bonus of some lovely nature. Might not be better per se, but definitely a more peaceful way to appreciate the skyline. Worth a shot!
