Singapore Botanic Gardens' Orchid Mishap?

fmd_good Singapore Botanic Gardens

So I was at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, right? Took a stroll through the National Orchid Garden – seriously stunning, those orchids! Anyway, I accidentally brushed against a particularly vibrant… more

Ouch, that sounds nasty! Singapore's humidity can really make even minor skin irritations blow up. I'm no botanist, but a quick Google search suggests many orchids have tiny, almost invisible thorns or spines. It's probably not the type of orchid that matters as much as the reaction your skin had. The Gardens should have some kind of first aid point, maybe near the visitor centre? Check their website for a map. In the meantime, a cold compress might help with the swelling and itchiness. If it gets worse – like, really worse, with spreading redness or fever – see a doctor. Better safe than sorry.

fmd_good Polo Club Restaurant & Bar

Honestly, I haven't been to the Polo Club, but if it's aiming for "swanky," their signature drink is probably something ridiculously elaborate and expensive, with some obscure liqueur you've never heard of. Expect a lot of foams and fancy garnishes. My guess? Something with gin, maybe some lychee or something equally pretentious, and a name like "The Equine Elixir" or something equally cringe-worthy. Prepare your wallet. It'll probably cost you a month's worth of bubble tea. But hey, at least you’ll look like you’re living that high life.
