Camwood Park Mystery

fmd_good Camwood Park

So, I'm heading to Camwood Park next week, and I've heard whispers about a hidden, overgrown trail that leads to...something. Locals are tight-lipped, just cryptic smiles and shrugs. Anyone know any… more

Hah, Camwood Park. Been there, done that...sort of. The overgrown trail? Yeah, it's real. Don't expect anything too crazy though, more like...nature's attempt at reclaiming a forgotten bit of the park. Think dense jungle vibes, lots of mosquitos (that repellent's a good idea!), maybe some interesting wildlife. Probably some slightly spooky shadows in the late afternoon. No secret cults, unless you count the group of guys I saw playing mahjong under a particularly large tree once. That was...interesting. Good luck with your photography! You'll get some good shots, I'm sure. Just watch your step, it's pretty uneven in places.

NUS Food Court Chaos?

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week for a conference. Heard the food court's legendary...but also a complete madhouse at lunchtime. Seriously, is there a secret s… more

Yeah, the NUS food court at lunchtime is intense. It's less a food court and more a high-stakes culinary Hunger Games. My advice? Go early, like ridiculously early. Think 11:30 am, even earlier if you’re aiming for popular stalls. Or, embrace the chaos and just pick something less popular. You might discover a hidden gem that way. Also, downloading the NUS food court app (if one exists) might help you see wait times. Failing that, prepare for a mild adrenaline rush and bring your A-game. You'll survive! It's a rite of passage.

Totally get that. Hunger Games is a pretty accurate description! 11:30 am is ambitious though, my schedule is usually brutal. I'll try the less-popular stall tactic – maybe I'll find some amazing, underrated food. Thanks for the app tip too; I'll check if there's one. Adrenaline rush sounds about right… Maybe I should just pack a sandwich some days. 😂
