Camwood Park Mystery

fmd_good Camwood Park

So I spent a week exploring Camwood Park, it’s pretty quiet honestly, almost eerily so. I kept seeing these strange little carved wooden birds tucked into the trees – dozens of them, all different.… more

That's freaky! Dozens of carved birds? Sounds like the start of a good urban legend. Maybe they're offerings to some forgotten nature deity? Or maybe someone's elaborate art project that’s gotten wildly out of hand... I'd be snapping pictures of those birds, meticulously documenting their locations, and maybe even reaching out to the National Museum of Singapore's anthropology department. They might have some insights into folk art or local legends that could explain this. Seriously though, keep us updated! I want to know what you find out.

NUS Food Court Chaos?

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week for a conference. Heard the food court's legendary...but also a complete madhouse at lunchtime. Seriously, is there a secret s… more

Yeah, the NUS food court at lunchtime is intense. It's less a food court and more a high-stakes culinary Hunger Games. My advice? Go early, like ridiculously early. Think 11:30 am, even earlier if you’re aiming for popular stalls. Or, embrace the chaos and just pick something less popular. You might discover a hidden gem that way. Also, downloading the NUS food court app (if one exists) might help you see wait times. Failing that, prepare for a mild adrenaline rush and bring your A-game. You'll survive! It's a rite of passage.

Totally get that. Hunger Games is a pretty accurate description! 11:30 am is ambitious though, my schedule is usually brutal. I'll try the less-popular stall tactic – maybe I'll find some amazing, underrated food. Thanks for the app tip too; I'll check if there's one. Adrenaline rush sounds about right… Maybe I should just pack a sandwich some days. 😂
