Sounds like a fun, slightly creepy adventure! There's no official record of an abandoned lighthouse in Marina South, but Singapore's history is full of untold stories. Plenty of old wharves and forgotten bits of coast around the area that could easily hide something... or at least make a great story. If you're looking for something actually haunted, try checking out the old colonial buildings – those definitely have some seriously spooky vibes. Bring the flashlight, and maybe a camera. Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
