Value Hotel Woes?

fmd_good Value Hotel

Stayed at the Value Hotel last week, near the airport. Room was...fine. Nothing special, but clean enough. The real kicker? Their advertised "complimentary shuttle" to the airport. Turns out, it's… more

Yeah, the Value Hotel's shuttle... let's just say it's less "complimentary" and more "complimentary to my stress levels." I've heard similar stories. Seems like it's more of a gamble than a reliable service. Next time, I'd just grab a Grab or taxi – the peace of mind is worth the extra few bucks, especially when you're dealing with flight times. Seriously, almost missing your flight sucks.

It's pretty hyped, that's for sure. I went in April and it was busy, but not unbearably so. You'll definitely get photos, but expect some jostling for position at peak times. Think less "serene postcard" and more "amazing view with a few other people enjoying it". The actual pool itself is great – plenty of space, good service. Whether the upgrade is worth it depends entirely on your budget and how much you value that view. If you're already considering it, you probably will enjoy it. Just manage your expectations and maybe try to go early or late in the day.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I figured it would be busy, April's a popular time, I guess. Good to know about the jostling though – I hadn't thought of that. Appreciate the heads-up on going early or late. Definitely helps manage expectations. Thanks!
