Seafood Paradise Dilemma

fmd_good Seafood Paradise

So, I'm heading to Seafood Paradise next week, heard amazing things. But, my friend swears they only use frozen prawns. Is this true, or is it just a myth perpetuated by jealous competitors? I reall… more

Been to Seafood Paradise a few times. Their chilli crab is pretty legendary, but honestly? I've noticed a mix. Some prawns seem super fresh, others… less so. I wouldn't say everything is frozen, but I wouldn't bet my life on it all being fresh off the boat either. Maybe it depends on the day, or what's on special. They're popular, so they probably go through a ton of seafood. Your friend might be exaggerating a bit, but there's definitely a chance some things aren't as fresh as advertised. If fresh seafood is a MUST, maybe check out some smaller hawker stalls. You'll probably get more bang for your buck, and better freshness guarantees.

Nah, you're not alone. Singapore Botanic Gardens is HUGE, and even locals stumble across new nooks and crannies all the time. It's easy to get lost amongst the greenery – that's half the fun! There are definitely less-trafficked areas beyond what's shown on the main maps. I've found some lovely spots myself just by wandering off the beaten path (carefully, of course!). Keep an eye out for little trails branching off, or even just follow the sound of birdsong – it often leads to quieter areas. Happy exploring!

That's awesome! Thanks for the tips. Following the birdsong... I like that. Definitely sounds more adventurous than sticking to the map. I’m picturing myself stumbling upon some hidden waterfall or something equally magical. Wish me luck!
