NUH's Hidden Cafes?

fmd_good National University Hospital

So, I'm heading to National University Hospital, or NUH as everyone calls it, next week for a procedure. I've heard the food court's... well, let's just say it's *functional*. But I'm hoping to find… more

Oof, NUH food court, yeah I feel you. It's... an experience. There aren't really hidden cafes on campus itself, it's pretty much all hospital or main building stuff. Your best bet is to look just outside – there are some cafes along Kent Ridge Road, a short taxi or Grab ride away. They're not exactly secret, but they'll be a million times better than the hospital food. Biopolis can be a bit of a food desert, yeah. The conference centre stuff is usually…meh. But don't despair! There are options outside the immediate Biopolis complex. Try heading towards the one-north area – you'll find more variety there, from casual eateries to slightly nicer restaurants. Check out Fusionopolis, it's not far and has a better selection. Bringing your own ramen's a solid backup plan, though. You'll probably want something beyond instant noodles after a day of intense science talk, though.
