Nah, you won't be stuck with ramen for a week. Biopolis is surrounded by plenty of hawker centres – those are your best bet. They're usually a short walk away and offer tons of variety, way cheaper than the fancy stuff in the buildings themselves. You can easily find good, filling meals for under $10 SGD. Just look for the nearest one on Google Maps when you get there; there are a few within easy reach. Enjoy the conference!

Head down to the East Coast Park area. There are several quieter spots along the park's coastline, offering good views of the bridge without the insane traffic of the main roads. You might have to walk a bit, but you'll find a safer, less hectic spot to set up your camera and capture that awesome night view. It's worth it.
