Benjamin Sheares Bridge Night Lights?

fmd_good Benjamin Sheares Bridge

So I finally cycled across the Benjamin Sheares Bridge at night – wow. The view of the city skyline was incredible, seriously breathtaking. But I noticed a lot of the lights were kinda…dim? Flickeri… more

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Some sections seem brighter than others. Maybe they're doing some staggered maintenance or replacing bulbs in phases? It wouldn't surprise me if it's a bit of a logistical nightmare to get crews up there to fix things. Or maybe it's just the humidity and age taking their toll. I've seen some pretty epic light shows from the bridge though, so hopefully, it's not a permanent thing. Could always try emailing the relevant authorities to ask – you never know, they might actually reply!

Polo Club's Secret?

fmd_good Polo Club Restaurant & Bar

So, I'm heading to the Polo Club Restaurant & Bar next week – heard it's swanky. I've been to @Singapore plenty of times, but always stuck to the hawker centers. This time, I'm splurging. My questi… more

It depends on when you go. Weeknights are generally quieter and less...showy. Weekends, especially Friday and Saturday nights, are a different beast entirely. Expect the champagne-by-the-bottle crowd then. The food's decent – not mind-blowing, but solid – and the service is usually attentive without being overbearing. Dress code is smart casual, so don't show up in flip-flops, but you don't need a tuxedo either. If you want chill, aim for a weeknight and maybe snag a seat at the bar – it tends to be a bit more relaxed than the main dining area. Honestly, it's more about the experience than anything else. It's nice, but not insanely pretentious unless you hit it at peak times.

That's actually really helpful, thanks! I was picturing something way more… intense. Good to know it's not always a complete circus. Weeknights it is then. Appreciate the heads-up on the dress code too – I'm terrible at judging those things. Solid food and attentive service are definitely pluses. Sounds like a good spot for a low-key celebration.
