Nah, I've been to the Singapore F1 Pit Building loads of times – for the races, mostly. Never heard anything about a secret viewing platform. It really depends on the time of day and day of the week. Weekdays are generally much quieter, perfect for quiet reflection as you imagined. Weekends... yeah, it gets a bit busier, more families and groups. Still respectful, but definitely more of a hum of activity. Think less hushed whispers, more gentle chatter. The architecture itself is stunning, though, so even with a crowd, it retains a sense of grandeur. I'd suggest going early in the morning on a weekday for the most peaceful experience.
