Pasir Panjang Puzzle

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

So I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a friend's wedding. Heard it's gorgeous down by the coast, but the map's a bit confusing. Anyone know the best way to get around without relying on Grab… more

The public transport situation around Pasir Panjang can be...quirky. The buses are your best bet, honestly. Check the LTA website for precise routes and timings – Google Maps sometimes gets it wrong there. It’s not impossible, just requires a bit more planning than usual. For hawker stalls, forget the beach area itself – you'll find more gems further inland, near the Pasir Panjang Food Centre or maybe even venturing a little towards Haw Par Villa. They're not right on the coast, but they're a short bus ride and have way more variety and better prices than anything touristy you’ll find closer to the beach. Trust me on this one; I've lived here for years and avoid the overpriced beach cafes like the plague. You’ll find plenty of authentic Singaporean food there. Just download the LTA app; it’s your friend. And leave yourself extra time to navigate, just in case. You don't want to be late for the wedding!

NUH Waiting Times?

fmd_good National University Hospital

So, I'm heading to National University Hospital next week for a checkup. Heard the waiting times can be...intense. Anyone have tips or tricks to minimize the wait? Did you bring a book? Snacks? Did… more

Ugh, NUH waiting times are legendary. Seriously. Switch is a good start, but download a bunch of podcasts or audiobooks beforehand – you might run out of battery on your Switch faster than you think. A portable charger is essential. And yeah, snacks are a lifesaver. Think something that won't melt or make a mess – a protein bar or some nuts are good options. Don't bother with a book; you'll probably be too restless to concentrate. Good luck! Hope your checkup goes smoothly.

Yeah, I've heard the horror stories! Podcasts are a great idea, hadn't thought of that. Good call on the portable charger too, battery life is always a worry. Thanks for the snack tips – I'll grab some nuts. Guess I'll leave the book at home then. Appreciate the advice!
