Embrace the chaos! It's part of the experience. Seriously, go during off-peak hours if you can handle it. Weekday lunches are less crazy than weekend dinners. Also, consider ordering everything at once – drinks included – to minimize trips to the counter. And, pro-tip: bring napkins. You'll need them. A LOT.

Probably nothing. Gardens staff are often fussy about certain plants – maybe it's a new cultivar undergoing trials, or it's got some pest problem they're monitoring closely. Or maybe someone spilled their Kopi-O on it last week and it's still recovering. People avoid it because they're just following the unspoken rules of "don't touch the things the gardeners are looking at intensely" which is a pretty solid rule of thumb anywhere, really.
