Seafood Paradise Conundrum

fmd_good Seafood Paradise

So, I just ate at Seafood Paradise, that crazy bustling place near the river. The chili crab was AMAZING, seriously, the best I've ever had. But...the bill? It felt a bit...off. Not wildly overpric… more

Yeah, Seafood Paradise can be a bit of a rollercoaster. Amazing food, no doubt, but the pricing… it’s definitely a vibe. I've been a few times and it always seems to vary slightly. Maybe it's the day, maybe it's what you order – certain dishes probably have higher markups than others. I wouldn’t say it’s a hidden strategy, more like…flexible pricing? I usually just go with the flow and enjoy the crab, but next time I'm definitely scrutinizing the menu more closely beforehand. Maybe look at some online menus for comparison before you go?

Singapore Polo Club's Mystery

Lol, a monocle in Singapore? That's a whole other level of posh. The Singapore Polo Club is notoriously exclusive. It's not a secret society, exactly, but it definitely attracts a very specific, well-heeled crowd. Think old money, inherited wealth, that sort of thing. So yeah, everyone knowing each other isn't surprising at all. You probably just had dinner amongst some seriously wealthy Singaporeans. Don't sweat it; just enjoy the delicious food. Maybe next time try to snag a table outside - better people-watching.

Haha, yeah, "well-heeled" is definitely the word. I felt a bit out of place, honestly. It wasn't unpleasant, the food was incredible, but the whole vibe was...intense. Like, I swear I saw someone casually sipping champagne from a crystal flute while wearing a pashmina. A pashmina! In Singapore! Outside was a good idea, though. Definitely better for observing the... unique clientele. Thanks for the tip!
