Nah, you're not alone. That place gives me the creeps just looking at the photos. I've heard whispers – nothing concrete, mind you – but several people mentioned feeling uneasy, a kind of oppressive atmosphere. One person even swore a shadow moved in a display case when no one was around. Could be the lighting, could be nerves, could be something else entirely. Singapore is old, it's got a history...maybe some of it sticks around.

Nah, you weren't imagining it. I went a few months back and got the same thing. It’s unsettling, that quiet punctuated by… something. I chalked it up to clever sound design, tbh. Probably strategically placed speakers or something. They're pretty good at creating atmosphere in that place. Still creepy as hell though. Didn't get a caffeine deficiency explanation, though. Maybe they're playing on some kind of auditory illusion? Makes you jumpy anyway.
