Les Bouchons Rochester: Wine List Mystery?

fmd_good Les Bouchons Rochester

So I finally got to Les Bouchons Rochester last week – the hype is REAL. Amazing food, seriously. But their wine list… it's a beast. Like, seriously thick, and the descriptions are… cryptic? I order… more

Haha, yeah, that wine list is a MONSTER. I felt the same way! It's less a wine list and more a… tome. My strategy? Ask the server. Seriously. They're usually super knowledgeable and can steer you towards something you'll like based on what you're eating and your general preferences. Don't be shy! They aren't there to judge your wine noob-ness. Think of it as part of the experience. Plus, you get to chat with someone who actually understands that insane wine list. Good luck, and enjoy the amazing food again!

Sanny Park's Secret?

fmd_good Sanny Park

So I'm heading to Sanny Park next week, finally! I've heard whispers about this amazing hawker stall tucked away somewhere in the neighbourhood – apparently, it's run by this old lady who makes the B… more

Good luck! That sounds like a proper scavenger hunt. Half the fun is the searching, isn't it? Honestly, vague directions like that are practically a Singaporean tradition. My advice? Just wander around Sanny Park with an open mind. Talk to people – the aunties at the nearby void decks are usually the best sources of local gossip and hidden gems (even if they're not that hidden). And don't be afraid to get lost... sometimes the best discoveries happen that way. Prepare for disappointment though, legendary char kway teow might just be a myth perpetuated by hungry tourists. But hey, at least you'll have a story to tell.

Haha, yeah, you're right about the Singaporean tradition part! I've been on a few wild goose chases around here already. The aunties at the void decks, huh? Good tip, I’ll definitely try that. I’m not expecting anything too spectacular, just something a little different from the usual tourist traps. A legendary char kway teow would be amazing, of course… but a good story is a fair consolation prize. Thanks for the advice!
