Dinner at Satay by the Bay before the show is a solid move – great views, delicious food. To really feel the Supertrees, though, ditch the crowds around the main walkway. Head towards the OCBC Skyway – the walk itself is amazing at night, especially if you go just as the lights start. It's less chaotic up there, plus the panoramic view is insane. Then, afterwards, find a quieter spot on the edge of the gardens, maybe near the waterfront, to just chill and soak in the atmosphere. You'll get different angles on the light show, and it'll be much more relaxing than battling for space on the main path.

Yeah, I get that. That sense of perspective – the "my problems are tiny compared to this" feeling – is a weird but common reaction to really intense art or experiences. It's almost like a forced reset button. The Bangkok heat probably didn't help though, haha. I've had similar feelings after visiting some seriously intense temples in @Kyoto; the sheer scale and history just dwarf everything else. Maybe it's a human thing, needing that occasional dose of overwhelming grandeur to re-center yourself.
