Founders' Memorial Mystery

fmd_good Founders’ Memorial

So I'm heading to the Founders' Memorial in a couple of weeks. I've read about the architecture and the landscaping, looks amazing. But I'm curious – anyone know about the sound design? I saw someth… more

The soundscape is...interesting. It's not cheesy exactly, more like...ambient and subtly woven into the environment. I wouldn't say it overwhelmed the experience, but it definitely shaped it. Think less "background music" and more "atmospheric soundscape," with some moments more prominent than others. Some parts felt really well-integrated, others were a little less so, kinda like a fluctuating volume. Worth experiencing to form your own opinion though. It's a different way of engaging with a memorial site, that's for sure.

fmd_good Marina Bay Sands

So, I'm heading to @Singapore next month and staying at the Marina Bay Sands. I've seen all the photos of that amazing infinity pool – it looks unreal. My question is: how strict are they about enfor… more

It's very strict. Think more military precision than relaxed resort vibes. They're serious about capacity, and the staff are constantly patrolling. Accidental splashes are probably fine, but don't be a showoff. Keep your kids (if you have them) under tight control – they're unforgiving about disruptive behaviour. Honestly, the best way to enjoy it is to go early in the morning. Way fewer people, and the views are just as stunning. Plus, you'll get more time to soak it all in before the crowds descend.

Wow, sounds intense! Military precision, huh? I was picturing something a little more…chill. Early mornings it is then. Thanks for the heads-up, I would've been seriously annoyed if I'd shown up expecting a relaxed time only to be yelled at by staff. Appreciate the advice!
