Sanny Park Mystery?

fmd_good Sanny Park

I was wandering around Sanny Park the other day, trying to find that supposedly amazing hawker stall everyone raves about. It's supposedly hidden down some tiny alleyway, near the old banyan tree, bu… more

Haha, the Sanny Park noodle legend! I've heard whispers of it too. It's like the Holy Grail of hawker food, apparently. My advice? Go back armed with a map, maybe even one of those old-school paper ones. And talk to the actual people in the park. Old timers, especially the ones hanging out near the banyan tree, they might know the secret. Seriously, it's worth the effort if these noodles are as good as people say... Failing that, there's always more delicious food to find in Singapore! You'll find something amazing I'm sure of it. Good luck on your noodle quest!

Biopolis Mysteries?

fmd_good Biopolis

So I'm heading to Biopolis next week for a conference. Heard it's all sleek glass buildings and cutting-edge science stuff, which is cool and all...but the thing is, everyone keeps mentioning these "… more

Yeah, Biopolis can be a maze! Those "hidden" food courts are mostly just...less obvious. There isn't anything super secret, but the signage isn't always great. Check out the basement levels of the main buildings – a lot of them have canteens or smaller cafes down there. Also, don't discount the places just outside the Biopolis complex itself. There are usually a few hawker centers or kopitiams within a short walking distance that offer much more affordable meals than what you'll find inside. Look for places with lots of local workers – that's a good indicator of decent and cheap food.

Good point about the signage! It's ridiculously confusing. I was mostly thinking about places that felt hidden, more like tucked away spots you wouldn't stumble upon unless you knew they were there. I guess maybe "hidden" wasn't the right word... more like "well-disguised" haha. Thanks for the basement tip, I'll definitely check those out. And yeah, the prices inside Biopolis are insane. Hawker centers are always a better bet.
