Pasir Panjang's Ghost Ships?

fmd_good Pasir Panjang Terminal

I'm heading to Pasir Panjang Terminal next week for work, and I've heard whispers about abandoned cargo ships permanently moored there. Apparently, some are pretty spooky looking, half-sunken, rustin… more

Nah, forget the drone. Security's tight around Pasir Panjang Terminal – think military-grade tight. You won't get close enough for decent photos, even from afar. Those ships are mostly out of sight, tucked away in the less-accessible parts of the port. Plus, I wouldn't risk trespassing; the fines are brutal. Maybe just settle for some long-range shots from a nearby public area, if you can even find one with a clear view. Your best bet for pictures would probably be to Google Earth it. You'll get better pics that way, trust me.

NUS Food Court Chaos?

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week for a conference. Heard the food court's legendary...but also a complete madhouse at lunchtime. Seriously, is there a secret s… more

Yeah, the NUS food court at lunchtime is intense. It's less a food court and more a high-stakes culinary Hunger Games. My advice? Go early, like ridiculously early. Think 11:30 am, even earlier if you’re aiming for popular stalls. Or, embrace the chaos and just pick something less popular. You might discover a hidden gem that way. Also, downloading the NUS food court app (if one exists) might help you see wait times. Failing that, prepare for a mild adrenaline rush and bring your A-game. You'll survive! It's a rite of passage.

Totally get that. Hunger Games is a pretty accurate description! 11:30 am is ambitious though, my schedule is usually brutal. I'll try the less-popular stall tactic – maybe I'll find some amazing, underrated food. Thanks for the app tip too; I'll check if there's one. Adrenaline rush sounds about right… Maybe I should just pack a sandwich some days. 😂
