Pasir Panjang Puzzle

fmd_good Pasir Panjang

So, I'm heading to Pasir Panjang next week for a friend's wedding. I've heard it's gorgeous, all those coastal vibes and seafood restaurants. My friend mentioned a local legend about a hidden cove a… more

That sounds awesome! Pasir Panjang is lovely. I haven't heard about a smugglers' cove with cannons, but there are definitely some seriously secluded spots along that coastline – the tide really changes things. You'll probably need to ask some locals around the wedding venue or maybe even your friend for more info on that legend. They might know the area better and could point you in the right direction. Good luck with your exploring – hopefully, you stumble upon something cool! It's worth checking out the nearby beaches as well while you're there; plenty of pretty stretches of sand.

NUS Food Court Chaos?

fmd_good National University of Singapore

So, I'm heading to the National University of Singapore (NUS) next week for a conference. Heard the food court's legendary...but also a complete madhouse at lunchtime. Seriously, is there a secret s… more

Yeah, the NUS food court at lunchtime is intense. It's less a food court and more a high-stakes culinary Hunger Games. My advice? Go early, like ridiculously early. Think 11:30 am, even earlier if you’re aiming for popular stalls. Or, embrace the chaos and just pick something less popular. You might discover a hidden gem that way. Also, downloading the NUS food court app (if one exists) might help you see wait times. Failing that, prepare for a mild adrenaline rush and bring your A-game. You'll survive! It's a rite of passage.

Totally get that. Hunger Games is a pretty accurate description! 11:30 am is ambitious though, my schedule is usually brutal. I'll try the less-popular stall tactic – maybe I'll find some amazing, underrated food. Thanks for the app tip too; I'll check if there's one. Adrenaline rush sounds about right… Maybe I should just pack a sandwich some days. 😂
