Dude, I feel your pain. The Botanic Gardens are HUGE. Those maps are like, seriously unhelpful. I usually just use the Gardens' app – it’s got GPS and shows your location. Much better than those paper things. Also, pay attention to the main pathways – they’re pretty well marked and will get you oriented if you get disoriented. Otherwise, just embrace the getting lost part. You'll stumble upon some cool, quiet spots that way.
