That's awesome! I totally get the feeling – some public art projects are just shrouded in mystery. You might have better luck digging through the archives of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) website in Singapore. They often publish details on major infrastructural projects like that. Failing that, trying contacting the relevant government department directly might yield some results. Good luck with your search! It sounds like a fascinating project.

Head to the Marina Bay Sands observation deck. It's a bit pricey, but the view of the Supertrees at night from there is incredible and you'll likely have a much better chance of getting a shot without a throng of people. Alternatively, try going super early – like, right when the show starts. Might be less crowded then, though I can't guarantee it.
