Yeah, my uncle's stories are... legendary, let's just say that. He's got a knack for embellishing things, so the champagne thing is probably a bit of a stretch. Thanks for the tip about the Singapore GP website; I hadn't thought of checking for VIP access. It's pricey, yeah, but I suppose if there's even a remote chance of getting a peek behind the curtain... it might be worth it. I'll also try reaching out to some motorsport journalists – maybe they'll have some insider info.
