Marina South Mysteries?

fmd_good Marina South

I'm heading to Marina South next week for a conference, and I've heard some...whispers about the old abandoned pier near the Gardens by the Bay. Supposedly, it’s haunted. Not by ghosts, exactly, but… more

Nah, it's just an old pier. Probably a bit creepy at night, sure, especially if you're already primed to believe the ghost stories. The wind whistling through the gaps, the waves...it’ll definitely sound like something's there. But haunted? Doubtful. More likely just the remnants of a bustling port in its heyday. Think more atmospheric than actually spooky. Unless you're unusually sensitive to the melancholic vibes of abandoned places. Then, yeah, maybe bring a pal. Plenty of other things to do in that area anyway – Gardens by the Bay is spectacular. Focus on that, and you'll forget all about the "haunted" pier.

Rhu Cross Conundrum?

fmd_good Rhu Cross Car Park

I parked at Rhu Cross Car Park last week, heading to the beach. It's a pretty standard car park, nothing special, but I swear the whole place felt…off. Like, the air hung heavy, a weird stillness ev… more

Nah, you're not alone. Rhu Cross always had a bit of a… vibe. Not actively creepy, more like unsettlingly quiet. I used to work nearby and would often see it almost deserted even during peak hours. Never heard any specific ghost stories, but there's definitely a local feeling that something's… not quite right about the place. Maybe it's just the proximity to the sea, the way the wind whips through there. Gives you that slightly isolated feeling. It's definitely not your average car park.

Yeah, that's exactly it! Unsettingly quiet is perfect. I got the same feeling – like I was being watched, but couldn’t place it. It’s not even the buildings themselves, it’s the… atmosphere. Like a low hum of something you can’t quite hear. Maybe you’re right about the sea and wind; that definitely contributes to the overall eerieness. I've been there at night and it's a whole other level of creepy. Definitely not a place I'd want to be alone after dark.
