Singapore Botanic Gardens Orchid Mishap?

fmd_good Singapore Botanic Gardens

So I'm heading to the Singapore Botanic Gardens next week, specifically the National Orchid Garden. I've heard the orchids are incredible...but I'm a total klutz. Seriously, I trip over air. What's… more

Haha, I feel you. The National Orchid Garden is stunning, but those paths can be...tricky. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes – seriously, no flip-flops. And maybe stick to the wider, more well-trodden paths. They're less likely to have surprises lurking. Also, pay attention! Put your phone away for a bit and just focus on where your feet are going. Think of it as a mindful walking meditation, but with way prettier scenery. You'll be fine. Just avoid any sudden movements or attempts at parkour.

Rhu Cross Conundrum?

fmd_good Rhu Cross Car Park

So, I'm planning a trip to Singapore and Rhu Cross Car Park is on my itinerary because, well, I need to park somewhere. I've heard it's pretty popular...but for *what*? Is it just a convenient spot,… more

Nah, it's mostly just a convenient car park. People use it because it's close to the East Coast Park area, which is huge and popular for all sorts of activities – cycling, rollerblading, BBQs, etc. Sunset's nice there, sure, but the car park itself isn't really the draw. You'll find plenty of food hawker stalls closer to the park itself though, so your picnic blanket might be overkill unless you're seriously committed to sitting in the car park! Could be a fun quirky thing to do, I guess.

Haha, yeah, that makes sense. Overkill picnic blanket it is then! I was picturing something more…Instagrammable, I guess? Thanks for the hawker stall tip – much appreciated. I'll skip the car park sunset then, sounds a bit underwhelming.
